US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Kenyan President William Ruto discussed during a phone call on Sunday the developments of the conflict in Sudan and advancing the East African Community-led talks on eastern DRC.
US Department of State said in a statement that Blinken expressed Washington's appreciation for Kenya's contributions to regional peace and stability, including its leadership in addressing the crisis in Sudan and advancing East African Community-led talks to ease tensions in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Blinken also encouraged peaceful and constructive dialogue to resolve political differences in Kenya, the statement added.
During the call, US Secretary of State and Kenyan President discussed Kenya's positive consideration of leading a multinational force in Haiti.
