The President Stresses The Importance Of Providing Basic Services To The Residents Of Baghdad And Developing Aspects Of Public Life

The President of the Republic, Abdu al-Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the need to pay attention to providing basic services to the residents of Baghdad and developing aspects of public life.

A presidential statement stated that the President of the Republic received, today, Thursday, at the Baghdad Palace, the Governor of Baghdad, Muhammad Jaber Al-Atta, and during the meeting, they discussed the projects carried out by the governorate and the services it provides to citizens in the capital.

The President of the Republic stressed, according to the statement, the need to pay attention to providing basic services to the residents of Baghdad, as well as the importance of developing aspects of public life and maintaining order, in a manner commensurate with its historical role and civilized status.

The President stressed that security and stability are a fundamental pillar in the lives of peoples, adding that "we need education towards citizenship, adherence to the homeland, and reliance on the competencies present in the country."

He added: "Baghdad is an important pillar of culture, science and literature, and it needs planning and statistics, and the developed world depends today on future programs and plans."

The President of the Republic indicated, according to the statement, the importance of establishing a special garden for the martyrs, in appreciation and pride in their great sacrifices for Iraq, and paying attention to the homes of orphans, people with special needs, and severely disabled people.

For his part, the Governor of Baghdad reviewed the governorate's work mechanisms and future plans, as well as the obstacles it faces, stressing the need for a cultural project that establishes respect for the state and its institutions.
