Qatar Engages in GCC Petroleum Cooperation Committee’s Extraordinary Meeting

Doha: The State of Qatar participated on Thursday in the extraordinary meeting of the GCC Petroleum Cooperation Committee, held via videoconference. The State of Qatar was represented by HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi. The meeting was attended by the energy ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and the GCC Secretary-General.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting reviewed several decisions issued during the 19th Consultative Meeting of the GCC leaders, held on April 28, 2026. The discussions focused on the collaborative efforts and strategies among the GCC nations to strengthen their petroleum sectors and ensure sustainable energy development across the region. The meeting served as a platform for the member states to align their policies in response to the evolving dynamics of the global energy market.
