The Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, and his Jordanian counterpart, Mazen al-Faraya, who arrived Sunday in Baghdad, conducted an evening tour of Tahrir Square in the center of the capital.
A statement of the Ministry of Interior stated: "Al-Shammari and Al-Faraya met a group of citizens, and they were briefed on their conditions and exchanged conversations with them."
The Jordanian Minister of Interior expressed his admiration for the great welcome by the citizens, wishing Iraq and its people continued security, stability and lasting prosperity.
While Al-Shammari affirmed: "Iraq today is keen to consolidate relations with its neighbors and brothers," welcoming the Jordanian Minister of Interior in his second country.
