The Kurdistan Regional Government issued a statement regarding securing the salaries of its employees.
The regional government stated in a statement: “Today, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, issued a statement in which he confirmed that a fruitful agreement had been reached with Federal Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani regarding securing citizens’ salaries, expressing his thanks to all who supported the success of this agreement.”
Barzani said: “Thanks to Almighty God, and the solid will of our people, we were able to defend the rights of the people of Kurdistan, and reach a fruitful agreement with Federal Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to secure citizens’ salaries.”
He added: “I thank our citizens for their long patience, steadfastness, and firm confidence in their government. Thank you, President Barzani, for his support, guidance, and directives in overcoming the obstacles.”
I thank the President of the Kurdistan Region for his role in supporting and making the negotiation process successful with the federal government. Thank you to the political forces in federal Iraq for their support to us.”
He continued: “I thank the Kurdistan political forces and the Kurdistan blocs in the Federal House of Representatives for their support, unity and solidarity, in order to guarantee the rights of salary recipients in the region... Thank you to the delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government for the success it achieved in this difficult mission, tirelessly and with high responsibility feeling.
