Doha: The QSE index opened Thursday's trading session higher by 0.14%, adding 15.73 points to reach 10,866 points compared to the previous session's close. The rise was supported by most sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, figures from QSE showed positive performances in the Transportation sector by 0.61%, Insurance by 0.52%, Industrials by 0.27%, Consumer Goods and Services by 0.07%, and Banking and Financial Services by 0.02%. These gains contributed to the overall increase in the index.
Meanwhile, the Telecoms sector experienced a decline, falling by 0.32%, along with the Real Estate sector, which saw a decrease of 0.08%. Despite these decreases, the overall market sentiment remained positive.
At 10:00 AM, QSE recorded 2,998 transactions with a total worth of QAR 48.618 million, distributed over 21.028 million shares. This level of activity indicates a healthy trading environment at the start of the session.
