Prime Minister of Qatar Discusses Regional Escalation with Polish Deputy Prime Minister

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a telephone call from HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Radoslaw Sikorski. The main focus of their discussion was the military escalation in the region and its serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability, as well as exploring ways to resolve all disputes peacefully.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the Iranian attack on Qatari territory is a violation of its national sovereignty, inconsistent with principles of good neighborliness, and unacceptable under any justification. He highlighted that Qatar has consistently sought to distance itself from regional conflicts and has facilitated dialogue between Iran and the international community. However, the renewed targeting of Qatari territory undermines the foundation of the bilateral relations between the two countries.

His Excellency stressed the importance of an immediate cessation of all escalatory actions, urging a return to the negotiating table with a focus on reason and wisdom to contain the crisis and preserve regional security. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland also expressed concern regarding the developments, advocating for de-escalation and a return to negotiations and diplomatic solutions to prevent further chaos.
