The American Internet and technology services company, Google, announced Friday the launch of the unknown tracker alerts on Android devices.
The official website of Google stated that the new feature makes Android devices able to monitor tracking devices that do not belong to the user, and move with him while he is on the move. It also send him a notification stating that there is a tracking device monitoring him.
The company explained that when taping the notification, the user will view the map that displays when and where the tracking device started walking with him, with the ability to tap the “Play sound” and the tracker will make a noise to help you locate it without the owner of the tracker knowing.
The company said that the new feature can currently monitor unknown Apple tracking devices AirTags only, and it is currently working to support tracking devices from other companies, such as Samsung, Tile, and others.
It is worth noting that Google and Apple began cooperating with each other earlier this year, in order to develop new specifications for the industry that would limit the misuse of tracking devices. (QNA)
