Hilla, A large fire broke out in a popular market in Alexandria district, north of Hilla, engulfing a number of shops, without causing any casualties. Civil Defense Media Director Aqeel Abdullah said, 'Today, Saturday, civil defense teams were able to extinguish a large fire that broke out in a popular market in the Alexandria district, north of Hilla, without casualties.' He added that the teams prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings, noting that the police opened an investigation to find out the causes of the fire.
