West Ham United Signs Striker Callum Wilson

London: West Ham United FC announced on Saturday the signing of former Newcastle striker Callum Wilson for one season. Wilson, 33, left Newcastle last June after his contract expired and officially joined West Ham today.

According to Qatar News Agency, Wilson made 130 appearances for the Magpies, scoring 49 goals over five years. He was limited to just 18 appearances last season due to injury and did not score a single Premier League goal.

The signing of Wilson comes as West Ham seeks to bolster their attacking options following the release of Jamaican international striker Michail Antonio, whose contract expired. The club is also seeking to improve on its position after finishing 14th last season with 43 points.
