Gaza: The toll of Israel’s onslaught on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 67,938 fatalities and 170,169 injuries.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported that hospitals in the enclave received 25 bodies, including 16 recovered from the rubble, along with 35 reported injuries in the past 24 hours. There are still several victims languishing under the rubble and in the streets, as medics and civil defense rescuers have hitherto been unable to reach them, the ministry said.
The ministry pointed out that it had received 45 unidentified bodies that were in the custody of the Israeli occupation and were not added to the cumulative death toll. The ceasefire deal between the Hamas movement and Israel, which was reached in Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh, came into effect last Friday following the occupation authorities’ announcement of their government’s approval of the agreement.
Thence, the occupation army began pulling back from sites and populated areas in the Strip, while displaced people started pouring into the northern enclave, as part of the first phase of the initiative put forward by US President Donald Trump to end the war on Gaza.
