The Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Diab Abdullah, stressed the importance of maintaining the marshes, especially al-Hawizeh marsh, which is considered one of the most important marshes in the country, especially after its inclusion on the World Heritage List.
The Minister of Water Resources indicated in a joint press conference with the Governor of Maysan, Ali Dawwai Lazem, today at the governorate’s office that he had reviewed the ministry’s projects implemented in Maysan and discussed with officials in the governorate a set of necessary and important options for developing the water resources sector in cooperation with the local government in Maysan.
The Minister stated that a number of paragraphs related to the Ministry’s work were discussed and recommendations were made to develop this vital and important sector.”
