Baghdad, Egyptian and Qatari sources announced that the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will start today, Friday, a visit to Egypt, the first since 2015.
The sources said: The visit will last for two days and will witness a summit gathering the Emir of Qatar and the Egyptian President after their meeting in Baghdad last year.
The sources explained that the visit will aim at the full normalization of relations between the two countries, in addition to signing economic agreements and pumping Qatari investments into Egypt, especially in the field of energy.
