The body of a drowned young man was recovered from the Euphrates River in Hilla

On Sunday evening, the River Police recovered the body of a drowned young man from the Euphrates River in the city of Hilla, the center of Babylon Governorate.

Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini, Media Director of Babylon Police, said: “A detachment of divers recovered the body of an eighteen-year-old man, who drowned in the Euphrates River while swimming, in the Zuwer area in Hilla.”

He added: “The police transferred the body to the forensic medicine office, and opened an investigation into the accident.”
