Telephone Discussions Between Erdogan And Sisi About The Deteriorating Situation In Gaza

Istanbul - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held telephone discussions with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which focused on the deteriorating situation in Gaza.

The Turkish Presidency's Communications Department said in a statement on Friday that Erdogan and Sisi discussed in a phone call the increasingly deteriorating situation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

It added that the two sides discussed the human rights violations committed by Israel against civilians in Gaza, and the steps that could be taken to find a solution.

During the phone call, Erdogan stressed that the brutality against the Palestinian territories is getting deeper, and that the silence of Western countries regarding the bombing of hospitals, schools, and places of worship has fueled the intensity of the fire in Gaza.

He stressed that forcing the residents of Gaza to leave their homes is unacceptable, and that Turkey will continue to make every effort to ensure peace and provide humanitarian aid and health services to Gaza as soon as possible.
