Erdogan: The Situation In The Middle East Is Madness Encouraged By The West

Istanbul - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described the situation in the Middle East as: “madness encouraged by the West.”

Erdogan said in a statement on the “X” platform: “Instead of reversing its mistakes and acting with political sophistication, the Israeli administration is acting as an organization that provokes players from outside the region.”

He added: "Our region must be saved from this madness encouraged by Western countries and legitimized by Western media."

The Turkish President renewed his call on the Israeli government to immediately stop its operations that amount to ethnic cleansing.”

Erdogan said: It is clear that killing children, women and civilians in Gaza and bombing hospitals, schools, mosques and churches will not contribute to ensuring security, and that increasing the bombing of Gaza will only bring more pain and tears.

He added: "The Israeli administration, at the instigation of non-regional parties, is behaving like an organization instead of retreating from its mistake and acting with a state mentality."

Erdogan said: "We are confident that permanent stability in our region is possible if new mechanisms are established to guarantee the security of Muslims, Jews and Christians on the land of Palestine."

He stressed that "Turkey will continue to do what is within its responsibility to achieve a solution before more blood is shed, before a new humanitarian tragedy occurs, and before the clashes in Palestine reach the point of no return."

He called on all countries and international organizations to sincerely support the initiatives aimed at reaching a ceasefire for humanitarian reasons in Gaza as soon as possible.
