Kyiv: At least four people were killed and 19 others injured in Russian drone strikes on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv early on Friday, according to city officials.
According to Qatar News Agency, Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that the attacks started just before midnight, leading to 14 of the injured being hospitalized. Ukrainian media also reported fires and significant damage to residential buildings and infrastructure, with air raid alerts in effect for approximately five hours.
In a separate incident, Ukrainian authorities reported that another Russian attack targeted infrastructure in the western Lviv region. Both Russia and Ukraine frequently report intercepting or conducting strikes, though these claims are challenging to independently verify amid the ongoing war that began in February 2022.
