Russian Defense Ministry: Hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers killed in one day
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Monday, that about 470 Ukrainian soldiers were killed on five main fighting axes, within one day.
Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said - in a press briefing: that two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were neutralized, an ammunition depot was destroyed, and 70 soldiers were killed on the Kobyansk axis.
He added: 60 Ukrainian soldiers were eliminated on the Krasny Lyman axis, and 20 soldiers on the southern Donetsk and Zaporozhye axes.
He pointed out: Russian forces killed 40 Ukrainian soldiers on the Kherson axis, indicating that an American-made M777 cannon was destroyed and 92 Ukrainian artillery units were wounded in firing positions, forces and military equipment in 126 regions.
The Spokesman indicated: The Russian attack on the western neighborhoods of the city of Artyomovsk on the Donetsk axis continues, with the support of the Airborne Forces, the Air Force and artillery, as the deaths of the Ukrainian forces there exceeded 280 soldiers.
