Doha: Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), a member of Qatar Foundation, and the Young Entrepreneurs Club (YEC), which operates under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, today launched the QSTP x YEC Summer Bootcamp 2026, a hands-on program in technology and startup building designed to turn ideas into companies.
According to Qatar News Agency, the first session attracted 124 attendees from across Qatar, with 60 percent female participation, bringing together university students, fresh graduates, aspiring entrepreneurs, and technology enthusiasts. Running from July 27 to August 19, the bootcamp guides participants through 13 sessions covering every stage of building a company. The early sessions introduce participants to the startup world and help them identify real problems worth solving, before progressing into business models, revenue strategies, and a structured critique process that challenges participants to refine their ideas.
Later sessions focus on how investors evaluate opportunities, the local deep tech landscape, and building ventures around measurable impact. Participants then delve into product development, go-to-market strategy, storytelling, and pitching in front of an audience. The program concludes with an introduction to QSTP's incubation offering and a rehearsal presentation ahead of the Hackathon.
Sessions are led by founders, investors, and industry experts from organizations such as Alchemist Doha, TeKnowledge, QLUB, Ibtechar, and HostX, alongside QSTP's program team. Participants will also experience a QSTP ecosystem tour and a rehearsal Demo Day before the program's closing Hackathon, set for August 20 and 21, where teams will present their startup concepts to a live panel of judges. The closing keynote will focus on the impact of artificial intelligence on startup creation and scaling.
Business Development Director at QSTP, Eng. Ahmed Al Said, emphasized the bootcamp's role in harnessing talent and providing participants with tools, mentorship, and access to Qatar's innovation ecosystem. He expressed anticipation for the cohort's developments over the next four weeks.
Vice President of the Young Entrepreneurs Club, Abdulrahman Al Emadi, highlighted the Club's commitment to empowering young people by equipping them with practical tools to transform innovative ideas into scalable and sustainable ventures. He expressed pride in the partnership with QSTP and the support from collaborators in delivering an experience that merges knowledge, practical application, and interaction with industry experts. This initiative aims to prepare a generation capable of leading Qatar's future in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Following the bootcamp, participants will be introduced to the QSTP Incubation Pathway, providing a clear route for further developing their ventures beyond the program.
