QSE Index Opens Higher as Five Sectors Show Gains

Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index increased by 26.58 points, or 0.26%, at the start of Sunday's trading, moving up to 10,138 points, supported by five sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, market data showed that the sectors contributing to the index's rise included Telecoms, which gained 1.19%, and Banks and Financial Services, which increased by 0.48%. Consumer Goods and Services also saw a rise of 0.14%, while Transportation and Insurance sectors grew by 0.05% and 0.02%, respectively. However, the Real Estate sector experienced a decline of 0.42%, and Industrials fell by 0.30%.

By 10:00 am, the turnover reached QR 63.007 million, with a total of 30.167 million shares changing hands across 3,764 transactions, as reported by the QSE data.
