Doha: In a series of editorials, Qatari newspapers have underscored the State of Qatar's enduring commitment to resolving international disputes through peaceful means and extending humanitarian aid globally.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Raya newspaper emphasized Qatar's foreign policy of resolving conflicts through dialogue, mediation, and diplomacy, rooted in international law and the United Nations Charter. For over two decades, Qatar has played a significant role in mediating conflicts worldwide, demonstrating its effectiveness even in complex and long-standing disputes.
Al-Arab newspaper, meanwhile, focused on Qatar's humanitarian efforts, particularly its aid to displaced persons and refugees affected by crises. The newspaper highlighted Qatar Charity's recent announcement of extensive humanitarian and development assistance in Bangladesh, set to benefit over 674,000 people in 2025. The State of Qatar is also recognized as one of the top donor countries to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, contributing over $1.528 billion by 2025. From 2013 to 2025, Qatar has supported UN agencies with $1.9 billion, strengthening its partnership with the UN and enhancing the capacity of OCHA.
The Peninsula, an English-language newspaper, highlighted Qatar's diplomatic approach to international crises, specifically in Venezuela. The State of Qatar advocates for restraint and dialogue as the only viable solution, reaffirming its commitment to the UN Charter and international law. Qatar's diplomatic efforts promote open communication channels and discourage the militarization of political disputes, prioritizing human lives and regional stability. The Peninsula concluded that the international community must focus on preventing further escalation and promoting cooperation.
