Doha: All Qatari pilgrims have successfully arrived in the Holy Lands of Saudi Arabia, ready to commence this year’s Hajj rituals. This accomplishment comes after meticulous planning and collaboration between key authorities in Qatar, overseen by the Qatari Hajj Mission.
According to Qatar News Agency, the pilgrims departed from Hamad International Airport last Saturday on scheduled flights operated by Qatar Airways and Saudi Airlines. The pilgrims are organized into 17 certified campaigns, each equipped with full administrative and technical staff to ensure optimal services for Qatari pilgrims in Makkah and other holy sites.
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, through the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department, has been coordinating with relevant authorities since the beginning of the year to streamline travel procedures for pilgrims. This includes tasks such as baggage collection 24 hours before flights, processing travel documents, and organizing airport movements to ensure a hassle-free journey for the pilgrims. Additionally, Hajj permits (Nusuk) were issued to pilgrims before their arrival in the Holy Land.
Qatar Airways has established special counters for pilgrims, and joint teams from the Qatari Hajj Mission and Qatar Airways representatives are present at Saudi airports to facilitate the safe and smooth entry of Qatari pilgrims into the Holy Land.
The Qatari Hajj Mission is operating in Makkah and the Holy Sites with comprehensive support units to monitor the pilgrims from their arrival until they are settled in their accommodations.
Many Qatari pilgrims have expressed gratitude to the mission for its efforts in organizing the arrival process and providing extensive support at all stages. This support is provided in collaboration with campaign representatives and with continuous oversight from mission members, including easing any potential obstacles at checkpoints at Makkah’s entry ports to streamline the entry procedures for Qatari buses.
