Doha: Qatari newspapers focused their Monday editorials on the State of Qatar's continued diplomatic efforts to promote regional security and stability, its unwavering commitment to strengthening ties with brotherly and friendly countries, and its growing role as an international hub for search-and-rescue operations and humanitarian aid during crises.
According to Qatar News Agency, the newspapers emphasized that Qatar's diplomatic engagement remains active and is built on two key pillars: fostering stronger relations with brotherly and friendly countries and reinforcing the country's position as a trusted international mediator in conflict resolution, thereby promoting regional and global stability.
The newspapers also highlighted the state's efforts to provide high-quality higher education for all and its objective of increasing the proportion of graduates in scientific disciplines to 18% by 2030 under the Third National Development Strategy. The initiative aims to meet the country's growing demand for specialists in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data science.
Al-Sharq reported that Qatar continues its intensive diplomatic efforts to discuss the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as advancing bilateral cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries.
The newspaper highlighted the intensive diplomatic activity of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani on Sunday. During the day, he received India's Minister of External Affairs Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and North Macedonia's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski. His Excellency also received a written message from HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, pertaining to bilateral relations. Further, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs held a series of telephone calls with HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Dr. Ayman Safadi, HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye Hakan Fidan, HE Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic Jean-Noel Barrot, and HE Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ghana Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
Al-Sharq newspaper affirmed that, guided by its firm belief in resolving disputes and conflicts through dialogue and diplomatic means, Qatar continues to prioritize consultation and coordination with partners and friends to create favorable conditions for efforts aimed at ending conflicts. In the same vein, Al-Watan highlighted HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs' intensive diplomatic engagements on Sunday, noting Qatar's continued commitment to strengthening cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries while advancing efforts to promote regional and international peace and stability.
