Qatari Newspapers Editorials -1-

Al-Arab newspaper said in its editorial that the State of Qatar places great importance on the family, recognizing its significance in building a strong and stable society, as it is considered the fundamental nucleus for the cohesion and prosperity of any community. Therefore, the State has worked to provide full support to families through programs and initiatives aimed at promoting family stability and empowering its members. The latest of these is the ‘First Year of Marriage’ program which prepares individuals about to get married and aims to build strong, unbreakable family relationships, making new families resilient against difficulties and challenges, thus enabling them to raise healthy and beneficial generations for society and the nation.

The Ministry of Social Development and Family consistently strives to implement this program in the form of awareness lectures, representing an ambitious step toward promoting a culture of successful and sustainable marriages among young people. Since the success o
f everything starts from its foundation, the success of a family begins with the success of a marriage. These lectures aim to equip individuals about to get married with real tools and skills to help them start a strong marriage built on solid foundations for their future lives.

The importance of the program lies in its coverage of a variety of topics relevant to those about to marry, such as effective communication between spouses, conflict management, financial planning, and psychological and social compatibility, the newspaper added.

Al-Arab concluded its editorial by saying that all eyes are on this program, as there are high hopes for it to reduce divorce rates and ensure that every upcoming marriage reaches a safe harbor by providing real support to young couples in facing potential challenges. In addition, it aims to raise awareness among the youth about the importance of teamwork and mutual respect. The State places great hopes on this program, envisioning future generations with strong and stable m
arital relationships, which will serve as the foundation for families that contribute to building a more cohesive and prosperous society.

In Arab affairs, Al-Watan newspaper said that over the past two days, Israel launched a series of violent and consecutive airstrikes on residential buildings in various areas of the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut. The most intense of these was the strike targeting the Secretary-General of Hezbollah at the party’s central headquarters, which could lead to extremely dangerous repercussions, putting the entire Middle East on the brink of full-scale war. This escalation comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu chose to push matters to a new and unprecedented level of brutal violence.

Al-Watan warned of the brutal Israeli aggression on the southern suburbs of Beirut, crossing all red lines. Israel has pushed the situation into a dangerous maze of potential large-scale explosions, whose impact will not be confined to Lebanon but could spread acros
s the entire region. This is extremely perilous and calls for immediate intervention from the international community, especially the United States, to halt the aggression and protect the Lebanese people, who fear they may face a fate similar to that of the residents of Gaza, given the brutal targeting of civilian areas that have been witnessed.

In another topic, The Peninsula newspaper said that equine sports are gaining momentum with each passing season in Qatar as the country hosts multiple competitions in different disciplines besides playing key part in worlds most popular events.
