Qatar Takes Helm at AIDSMO Ministerial Session in Libya

Doha: The State of Qatar chaired the 29th session of the General Assembly of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO), which took place in Tripoli, Libya. The session was attended by key representatives from various Arab nations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event saw the patronage of HE Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity of the State of Libya, Abdul Hamid Mohammed Dbeibeh. Representing the State of Qatar was HE Ambassador Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Zabin Al Dosari, who led the session as chairman.

During the assembly, the State of Qatar's candidate was elected as the Director General of AIDSMO. The session also marked the launch of the Arab Industrial Indicators Platform, a significant step towards enhancing collaboration among member states. Discussions at the assembly emphasized the importance of digital transformation and the use of AI-powered technologies in industry, standardization, and mining, aiming to foster industrial development and economic integration across Arab countries.
