Qatar Strongly Condemns Iranian Attacks on Kuwait

Doha: The State of Qatar has issued a strong condemnation of the recent Iranian attacks targeting a military camp and a power and water desalination plant in the State of Kuwait. These attacks resulted in injuries to members of the armed forces and have been labeled by Qatar as a blatant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty and the principles of international law.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari government has expressed its unwavering support for Kuwait in the face of these aggressive actions. The attacks have raised concerns over regional stability and prompted calls for adherence to international legal frameworks to safeguard the sovereignty and security of all nations in the region.

In other developments, the Attorney Admission Committee, led by HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, convened to discuss key agenda items. Meanwhile, Qatar Central Bank reviewed the implications of recent geopolitical developments on the domestic financial system.

Furthermore, Noura Mohammed Al Ansari, Director of the Scholarship Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, confirmed efforts to expand the list of strategic specializations in the government scholarship program to align with national development needs and labor market demands. Additionally, the Ministry of Municipality reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability by promoting waste transformation and the circular economy on International Zero Waste Day.

The Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority announced Qatar's upcoming chairmanship of its Board of Directors for a three-year term. Economic collaboration was also on the agenda as HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani met with ambassadors from Belgium and Singapore to explore trade and investment opportunities.

In energy sector news, Golden Pass LNG, a collaboration between QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil, achieved a significant milestone by commencing LNG production from the first of three trains in its 18 million tons per annum project. Finally, diplomatic ties were strengthened as HE Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan met with HE Ambassador of Qatar to Armenia Mansour bin Abdulla Al Sulaitin.
