Abu dhabi: The State of Qatar, represented by the Qatar Science Club (QSC), is participating in the MILSET Expo-Sciences International (ESI) 2025, taking place in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This event, running until October 3, 2025, highlights Qatar’s commitment to fostering scientific innovation among its youth, in line with the country’s National Vision 2030.
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar’s involvement in this global scientific gathering underscores strong regional ties in education and science. The Ministry of Sports and Youth, along with the Qatar Science Club, plays a pivotal role in promoting scientific endeavors among young Qataris. The Qatari delegation is showcasing a range of innovative projects in science, technology, and engineering, reflecting the nation’s commitment to supporting youth innovation and creativity.
The Qatari team’s projects include six diverse scientific contributions from club members. Mohammed Hassan Al Sayed has presented a project on mapping deep coral reefs, while Daieej Essa Al Binali’s project focuses on a smart, programmable facial recognition device. AlJawhara Mohammed Al Shammari has contributed with a drone designed for monitoring fungal diseases in greenhouses, and Fatima Rashid Al Ruhaimi’s project centers on designing sustainable flooring using recycled materials.
Additionally, Khalid Waleed Fadel Saleh and Hamad Abdullah Saad Al Nuaimi are showcasing an architectural design featuring a 3D model of a building with passive cooling techniques and energy efficiency. Noura Hassan Marzouq Al Sulaiti and Dana Aqeel Amin Al Youssef have participated with a smart helmet project designed to measure dimensions using artificial intelligence.
Fatima Al Mohannadi, head of the Qatari delegation, expressed pride in the students’ participation, emphasizing that their presence at this prestigious international event reflects positively on Qatari youth and their innovative capabilities. She highlighted that the event serves as a platform for exchanging experiences and building partnerships.
Eng. Sheikha Al Sada, the technical supervisor of the delegation, noted that the Qatar Science Club aims to ensure these projects reflect the latest trends in science, programming, engineering innovation, and sustainable energy. The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) aims to promote the exchange of scientific and cultural ideas, offering workshops, conferences, and youth sessions to encourage knowledge sharing.
