Qatar Reinforces Commitment to Regional and International Diplomatic Efforts

Doha: In an editorial piece, Al-Sharq newspaper underscored the active participation of His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani in a pivotal meeting of the Arab Ministerial Committee. This committee is tasked with galvanizing international action against illegal Israeli policies in occupied Jerusalem. The meeting, held in Amman, Jordan, on Wednesday, epitomizes Qatar's steadfast support for Arab and Islamic initiatives aimed at safeguarding Jerusalem and its sacred sites.

According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar's foreign policy is deeply rooted in the principles of international law and resolutions of international legitimacy, prioritizing the defense of occupied Jerusalem. The nation remains committed to countering efforts to alter the city's legal, historical, and demographic status. Doha is actively engaged in supporting the Palestinian cause and enhancing Arab and Islamic coordination to maintain Jerusalem's identity.

Al-Sharq concluded by stating that the involvement of Qatar's leadership in these discussions underscores the country's dedication to upholding the historical and legal status of Jerusalem and supporting the Palestinian people's legitimate rights. This includes their aspiration to establish an independent state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, which is viewed as crucial for achieving lasting peace in the region.

Simultaneously, The Peninsula highlighted Qatar's proactive role in mediating diplomatic solutions to regional crises, notably the US-Iran conflict. The newspaper reported that on Monday, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a call from the US President, Donald Trump. The leaders discussed regional developments and strategies to de-escalate tensions, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic engagement.

Qatar is collaborating with regional and international partners to prevent further escalation and reopen diplomatic channels. The Peninsula reiterated Qatar's rejection of using strategic waterways as political leverage, stressing the need for freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz based on international law and regional cooperation.

On the home front, Al-Arab newspaper focused on the significant role of high-quality summer programs provided by both governmental and private entities. These programs are recognized as essential educational resources, aiding in the development of knowledgeable and skilled future generations.

Al-Arab highlighted the programs' contributions to talent discovery, value instillation, and skill enhancement. By incorporating modern disciplines such as artificial intelligence, programming, and digital technologies, alongside cultural and sports activities, these programs align with the future demands without compromising national identity.
