Seoul: The State of Qatar took part in the International Police Summit (IPS 2025) in Seoul, Republic of Korea, alongside senior police leaders and representatives from international organizations. The summit focused on forming a collaborative approach to tackle global security challenges.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation was led by HE Assistant Undersecretary for Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior (MOI), Sheikh Nayef bin Faleh bin Saud Al-Thani. The summit participants endorsed a joint declaration that emphasizes the need for a global alliance to counter transnational crime networks. It also called for enhanced international cooperation to combat cybercrime and AI-driven fraud, along with the development of mechanisms for information exchange and joint coordination among countries.
Qatar’s involvement in the summit underscores its commitment to contributing to international efforts aimed at enhancing global security. It also highlights Qatar’s dedication to strengthening police partnerships in innovation, training, and the application of modern law enforcement technologies.
