Doha: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Interior (MOI), participated in the 23rd Arab Conference of Heads of Correctional and Reform Institutions, held in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt. The MOI delegation was led by Major General Nasser Mohammed Issa Al Sayed, Director of the General Directorate of Penal and Correctional Institutions.
According to Qatar News Agency, participants at the conference discussed various agenda items, including the implementation of recommendations from the previous conference, sharing experiences of member states, digital transformation, and employing modern technologies to advance correctional and rehabilitation institutions. The conference aimed to enhance Arab cooperation and exchange expertise in the field of correctional and rehabilitation work through appropriate decisions.
