Doha: HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, held talks with his Mongolian counterpart, HE Batbaatar Bat, in Doha on Thursday. The discussions centered around the upcoming 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), which Mongolia will host in August 2026.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting also focused on potential avenues for bilateral cooperation in environmental protection and climate change mitigation. Both ministers emphasized a commitment to global sustainability goals through collaboration on land degradation, biodiversity, and climate resilience issues.
