Prime Minister of Qatar Discusses Strengthening Ties with Irish Minister

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a meeting on Monday with HE Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Defense of the Republic of Ireland, Helen McEntee, during her visit to the country. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations and addressing regional developments, especially in light of recent diplomatic efforts following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation between the two officials also covered various issues of mutual interest. The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration in promoting security and stability within the region. Their dialogue reflects a shared commitment to addressing global challenges through diplomatic channels.

Following their discussions, HE Sheikh Mohammed participated in a ceremony for the signing of a new MoU aimed at establishing political consultations between the foreign ministries of Qatar and Ireland. The agreement was signed by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi and HE McEntee, marking a significant step towards deeper cooperation between the two nations.
