Prime Minister of Qatar and Saudi Foreign Minister Discuss Regional Security in Phone Call

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud held a phone call on Sunday. During the call, the two officials discussed cooperation relations between their countries and explored ways to support and enhance these ties.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation also revolved around the latest regional developments, with a focus on diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and strengthen security and stability in the region. HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy. He highlighted the significance of implementing the understanding between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly in ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. This, he noted, is essential for maintaining regional security, preserving progress, and promoting stability.

His Excellency reiterated Qatar's steadfast support for efforts aimed at reducing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that secures sustainable peace in the region.
