Palestinian Foreign Ministry Condemns Settlers Terrorism Against Schools

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said that the terrorism practiced by Israeli settlers against Palestinian schools is a result of incitement campaigns and positions of the Israeli extremist right led by Ben Ghaffir and Smotrich, which has provided more protection for the settlers and their terrorist elements, stressing that it considers these attacks and crimes very serious.

In a statement on Sunday, the ministry condemned settler militias' raid into the Ras Al-Tin school, east of Ramallah, which is threatened with demolition by the Israeli occupation authorities. It condemned the attack on the school, including destroying its windows, in addition to storming the Al-Tahadi school in the Wadi Al-Siq, east of Ramallah, and sabotaging its contents, under the protection and support of the occupation forces in a serious escalation of settlers' attacks against Palestinian educational institutions, especially those located in Area C, which are threatened to be seized and which is exposed to the worst forms of ethnic cleansing, as is the case in Masafer Yatta and Al Aghwar.

The ministry also condemned the continuous incursions into the town of Sebastia and its archeological area in Nablus the attacks on Palestinian residents with live gunfire and gas bombs in an attempt to seize the archeological area.

The ministry added that these attacks are part of the occupation state's attempts to Judaize and annex the West Bank and combat all forms of Palestinian national and humanitarian existence in those areas targeted by settlements.

The ministry held the Israeli government fully responsible for these attacks and the targeting of Palestinian educational institutions.

It also called on the US administration, the international community, and the UN organizations, especially "UNESCO", to assume their responsibilities in providing protection for Palestinian educational institutions, their staff and teaching staff, their students and children, and guaranteeing their right to freedom, movement, education, and access to their studies in safety and peace, as a fundamental principle of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
