Doha: The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) and the Community College of Qatar (CCQ) signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration in the fields of training, research, and development, while supporting national capacity building in cybersecurity. The agreement seeks to advance specialized knowledge, enhance cybersecurity awareness, and align academic programs with labor market needs and the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.
According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement was signed by HE President of the NCSA Eng. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Malki and President of the CCQ Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al Horr. On this occasion, HE Eng. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Malki stated that the agreement represents an important step towards strengthening integration between national entities and educational institutions. He emphasized that investment in knowledge, training, and scientific research is a key pillar in building a more resilient and prepared cybersecurity ecosystem capable of addressing emerging digital challenges.
For his part, Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al Horr highlighted the commitment of the CCQ to continuously developing its academic and training programs in line with national priorities and labor market requirements. He noted that the partnership with the NCSA will provide students and academic staff with greater exposure to the latest trends and best practices in cybersecurity.
The agreement includes the exchange of expertise between the Agency's specialists, researchers, and faculty members, as well as the organization of workshops, training programs, and cybersecurity awareness activities. It also supports the development of academic programs by aligning them with the Agency's priorities and updating educational content to reflect the latest developments in the field.
The National Cyber Security Agency continues to implement a range of awareness and training initiatives targeting different segments of society, with the aim of enhancing cybersecurity awareness and promoting safe technology practices, thereby contributing to a more informed and resilient digital society.
