The Najaf Governorate Police Command announced the closure of an office of an extremist religious movement and the arrest of 15 of its members under the supervision of the police chief, Major General Muhammad al-Sultani.
The Command said in a statement that, “In implementation of the order of the Najaf Investigation Court judge, joint detachments from the Directorate of Intelligence and Anti-Terrorism and the Directorate of National Security in Najaf carried out a joint arrest duty under the supervision of the Najaf Police Commander.”
It indicated, “The operation resulted in the arrest of 15 members of the Yemeni movement on the visitors’ road, and the closure of the office.”/ End
