The Moroccan navy saved today 76 illegal immigrants south west the city of Laayoune. A military source said that a navy unit saved 76 illegal immigrants, who were onboard of a boat about 115 km away from the south west of Laayoune city. Among these sub-Saharn Africans, 15 were women and 3 minors.
The source also clarified that the people rescued, who were planning to go to the Canary Islands, received the necessary first-aid treatment.
It is worth noting that the Moroccan authorities routinely announce their foiling of illegal immigration operations across its coasts that extend on the Atlantic Ocean.
