Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced updated working hours for the government health sector during Ramadan, taking into account its special nature.
According to Qatar News Agency, the MoPH has stated that all emergency and inpatient services at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) hospitals, including paediatric Emergency Centers, will continue to operate as usual around the clock throughout the week. Meanwhile, HMC outpatient clinics and the urgent consultation service can be reached via the number 16000 from Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. throughout Ramadan.
The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) will also provide urgent care services at 14 health centers around the clock, seven days a week. Furthermore, the MoPH has stated that government healthcare institutions will announce the detailed working hours specific to their services.
The MoPH has also announced the working hours for several of its service departments during Ramadan. The Medical Commission Department will receive visitors from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. Additionally, the Department of Medical Relations and Treatment Abroad will welcome visitors at the MoPH building from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Birth registration offices affiliated with the MoPH in government and private hospitals will operate in the morning from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Evening operations will be held at the Birth Registration Office in the Women Wellness and Research Center from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The Births and Deaths Committee at the MoPH will also receive visitors during the holy month from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.
The Death Registration Unit will accommodate visitors at the Unified Office for Humanitarian Services from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Unified Healthcare Contact Center (16000) will remain operational around the clock, seven days a week.
