Doha: The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Empowered Department, has launched the second edition of the Financial Awareness Program. This initiative is part of efforts to promote a culture of sound financial management among society members, focusing on planning, saving, and rationalizing spending to support family stability and improve the quality of life.
According to Qatar News Agency, the program is part of the projects under the Third National Strategy (2024-2030). It aligns with the ministry's goal to reach different segments of society by fostering community partnerships and cooperation with relevant entities to achieve the program's objectives and enhance its societal impact.
The ministry recently organized a workshop titled 'The Family Budget' in collaboration with the Investment and Trade Court and the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants. This workshop targeted employees of the Investment and Trade Court, aiming to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage financial resources and family budgets efficiently and responsibly.
The workshop was led by Abdulla Ahmed Al Mansoori, an accounting expert and board member of the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants. It covered various topics related to family financial management, such as family financial governance, budgeting, expense management, financial planning, financial education for children, and promoting a culture of saving and investment. These topics are crucial for raising financial awareness and achieving financial stability for families.
At the end of the workshop, Buthaina Al Obaidly, Director of the Family Empowerment Department, emphasized the ministry's commitment to implementing programs and initiatives that enhance financial awareness among individuals and families. This commitment aims to enable them to manage their resources efficiently and responsibly, contributing to the establishment of stable families that are better equipped to plan for their future and tackle financial challenges.
