Ministry of Education Celebrates Conclusion of “Spring of my heart” Contest for Nurseries’ Children

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has celebrated the conclusion of "Spring of my heart" contest and honored several children from public and private nurseries and kindergarten in the State of Qatar and the sisterly State of Palestine.

The celebration ceremony was attended by HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh al-Nuaimi, HE Assistant Professor of Educational Sciences- Dean of College of Education at Qatar University Dr.Hessa Bint Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani and Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to State of Qatar Dr. Mustafa Goksu, alongside children's guardians.

Being the first-of-its-kind event for this segment of children, it organized nurseries management role at MoEHE in collaboration with Alami Al Momtei Nursery "My fun world".

Commenting on this occasion, Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs at MoEHE Omar Al-Nama outlined that the contest was launched during the last Holy Ramadan to encourage male and female children at public and private nurseries to memorize the Noble Qu'ran, pointing out that the current generation has felt the first convoys of managing science since childhood and the believe in the Noble Qu'ran and its path through the encourage they received from all people.

He asserted that such an event would have a profound impact on the hearts of participating children as an onset to memorize the Noble Qu'ran in a prelude to prosperous future.

Speaking to the audience, Director of the Nurseries Department at MoEHE Dr. Rania Mohamed outlined that "Spring of my heart" is a local and international contest dedicated to the Noble Qu'ran, including the initiative that gather, for the first time, all kids in the State of Qatar from public and private nurseries and kindergarten, along with kindergarten children from the sisterly State of Palestine.

Such a convergence is the fruit of actual partnership the department has launched to collaborate with other kindergarten and embrace the ideas of those children and develop them, Dr. Rania Mohamed said, adding that the contest was judged by 12 committees from the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, with 11 committees physically attending the event and one committee remotely to further test the children of the State of Palestine.

She pointed out that prizes were offered by Qatar Airways Group to the four winners with their parents consisting of three free-of-charge flights to perform Umrah rituals, as well as other prizes from MoEHE and Alami Al Momtei Nursery and other contributions from several charity institutions and companies in Qatar to achieve the contest's objectives.

Owner of Alami Al Momtei Nursery Shamma Al Kaabi praised the contest's objectives and the engagement of children, including the accomplished successes, while head of Rayaheen Nursery Hana Faeq Awad outlined that the nursery's role is striving and perseverance to establish a place for care and education for children at this early age, since teenagers can learn much creativity during the nursery stage.

The ceremony featured a presentation on a Quranic operetta that dealt with the old way of teaching the Noble Qu'ran, the prophetic Hadiths, along with a presentation on nurseries accomplishments in promoting Islamic values and Qatari culture.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education honored the winners and participants in "Spring of my heart" contest.
