Doha: HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, held a phone call on Thursday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic Asaad Al Shibani. During the call, the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation and ways to strengthen and support it, as well as the latest developments in Syria, particularly in the city of As-Suwayda, and the ongoing Israeli attacks on Syrian territory.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Minister of State stressed the importance of holding all parties accountable for the bloodshed of civilians in As-Suwayda and ensuring that they do not escape justice. He underlined the need to intensify efforts to reinforce civil peace through dialogue and peaceful means.
He also reaffirmed the State of Qatar’s full solidarity with Syria in all measures it takes to safeguard its security and stability. HE Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi reiterated Qatar’s firm position in support of Syria’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and the aspirations of its people for a dignified life.
