Doha: Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry Osama Boodai met on Sunday with his UAE counterpart Sultan Al Jaber during his visit to Kuwait. The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in both the industrial and economic sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting addressed the significance of sustaining supply chains in the oil and industrial sectors, aiming to maintain continuous production operations despite extraordinary conditions. This initiative seeks to draw lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical developments.
The discussion also covered strategies for ensuring sustainable production in critical sectors, particularly in food and medicine. The ministers emphasized the importance of preparedness to confront extraordinary crises and conditions that could affect supply and production chains.
Additionally, the talks included joint coordination mechanisms to enhance production sustainability in critical sectors. The goal is to ensure that essential needs are met to support industrial and economic security in both countries.
