Doha: The General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) announced that its air defense systems intercepted and shot down three Iranian missiles that entered the Kingdom's airspace this morning.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) quoted a military source as saying that the missiles were intercepted in line with established operational procedures to protect Jordan's sovereignty, secure its airspace, and ensure public safety.
The source said the operation caused no casualties or material damage, adding that Royal Engineering Corps teams secured the areas where missile debris fell.
The source also said the Jordanian Armed Forces remain on high alert and continue to monitor the Kingdom's airspace, maintaining full readiness to respond to any threat in accordance with the established rules of engagement.
