Baghdad- The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Wednesday that it had summoned the Jordanian Ambassador to Israel as an expression of the Kingdom’s position rejecting the raging war on Gaza.
It said, in a statement, “The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Al-Safadi, decided today to summon the Jordanian Ambassador to Israel to Jordan immediately, as an expression of Jordan’s position rejecting and condemning the raging Israeli war on Gaza, which is killing innocent people and causing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.” "It carries dangerous possibilities for its expansion, which will threaten the security of the entire region and international security and peace.
The statement added: Al-Safadi directed the relevant department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs to inform the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs not to return its Ambassador who had previously left the Kingdom.
Al-Safadi explained that the return of the Ambassadors will be linked to Israel stopping its war on Gaza and stopping the humanitarian catastrophe it is causing and all its measures that deprive the Palestinians of their right to food, water, medicine, and their right to live safely and stable on their national territory, stressing that Jordan will continue to work to stop the war on Gaza and introduce Humanitarian aid, protecting civilians, and protecting the region from its consequences and its catastrophic impact on the future of the region and its right to a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, which embodies the independent and sovereign Palestinian national state with occupied Al-Quds as its capital on the lines of June 4, 1967, which represents the only way to guarantee the security of all the peoples of the region and its countries.”
