Qatari umpire Hassan Al Omari was chosen by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) as one of the umpires to officiate in the 2023 World Table Tennis Championships in South Africa, Durban from May 20 to 28.
The selection of Al Omari, the blue badge in umpire holder, comes thanks to his distinguished level and experience in officiating a number of regional and continental tournaments.
According to the ITTF ranking, Al Omari is considered one of the four best referees in the Arab world.
The Qatar Table Tennis Association (QTTA) praised Al Omari’s selection, expressing full confidence in the Qatari umpire’s ability to prove his presence with the best performance.
