Israeli Forces Persist in Southern Lebanon Attacks Amid Framework Agreement

Doha: Israeli forces continued their attacks in southern Lebanon despite the signing of the Lebanon-Israel framework agreement: Israeli forces have persisted in their operations in southern Lebanon, maintaining a presence even after a framework agreement was established to promote peace between the two nations.

According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli troops carried out machine-gun fire in the town of Majdal Zoun while also detonating a stun grenade. In another incident, an Israeli drone dropped a stun grenade near Ain Badda in Aita Al Jabal, targeting farmers operating agricultural tractors as they drew water from the spring. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from these incidents.

The recently signed framework agreement includes several key components, such as security arrangements, the disarmament of armed groups, and the redeployment of the Lebanese army. Additionally, it outlines plans for the reconstruction of damaged areas with international support, economic recovery efforts, and confidence-building measures aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region.
