Several Arab, Islamic countries and international organizations have denounced continuous Israeli aggression against the city of Jenin and its camp in the occupied West Bank today, which has so far killed 8 Palestinians, wounded 50 others, and damaged property and infrastructure.
These countries and organizations warned, in statements, of the serious dangers of the ongoing Israeli escalation against the Palestinians, stressing the need for the international community to act urgently to provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people and to oblige the Israeli entity to stop its flagrant violations of international law and force it to respect the resolutions of international legitimacy.
In this context, Jordan strongly denounced the recent aggression targeting the city of Jenin, underscoring the critical need to put an end to the continuous incursions into Palestinian cities and ensure their protection from repeated assaults.
In a statement, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry expressed Jordan's outright rejection of these attacks, along with any unilateral measures that undermine efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution. It emphasized the crucial role of the international community, urging its prompt and effective intervention to provide comprehensive protection for the Palestinian people residing in all the occupied Palestinian territories.
For its part, the Sultanate of Oman has expressed its denunciation and condemnation of the recurrent Israeli attacks on the city of Jenin and Palestinian camps in the West Bank.
Oman voiced its firm stance and strong backing to the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders in accordance with the two-state solution, relevant Security Council resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Iran denounced the Israeli aggression on the city of Jenin and its camps as "a clear example of state terrorism".
In turn, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) said these heinous acts are yet more crimes in Israel's record of organized terrorism against the Palestinian people, while strongly condemning the crimes committed by the Israeli occupying forces in Jenin.
The OIC called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibility, to enforce its relevant resolutions, put an end to the continuous Israeli aggression and provide protection for the Palestinians.
For its part, Arab League stressed that the occupation state bears full responsibility for this aggression which is tantamount to a war crime and a violation against laws and international legitimacy resolutions.
It called on the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council and member states to shoulder their responsibility in stopping the Israeli aggression immediately and providing protection to the Palestinian people.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation over the persistent and flagrant Israeli assaults on the Palestinian people, including the recent assault on Jenin camp in the West Bank, adding that the assault carried out by the Israeli occupation on Jenin camp represents a flagrant violation against international laws and charters and hampers peace efforts dedicated to solving the Palestinian cause.
It called for a prompt and urgent international action to stop these brutal assaults and repressive practices that led to the fall of a number of martyrs and inured from the brotherly Palestinian people.
UN humanitarian coordinator for the Palestinian Territories Lynn Hastings said that she was "alarmed by scale of Israeli forces operation," noting the airstrikes in a densely populated refugee camp.
