Doha: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, in a phone call Tuesday with Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa, reiterated Iraq’s rejection of Israeli incursions into Syrian territory. Al Sudani reaffirmed Iraq’s steadfast stance in supporting the choices of the Syrian people and emphasized the importance of an inclusive political process that represents all segments of Syrian society.
According to Qatar News Agency, he highlighted the need for peaceful coexistence and societal security to ensure a stable and secure future for Syria and the region. The Prime Minister also stressed Iraq’s commitment to Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, rejecting external interventions, underscoring the significance of mutual cooperation in combating the threat of ISIS and fostering economic collaboration, leveraging shared opportunities and resources.
