Iraq, Saudi Arabia Discuss The Affairs Of Transporting Pilgrims By Land To The Holy Land

Baghdad / NINA / – The head of the Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah, Sami Al-Masoudi, discussed today, Saturday, with the Governor of the Northern Region (Arar), Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the affairs of transporting pilgrims by land to the holy lands.

The Hajj and Umrah Commission stated in a statement, “Al-Masoudi met with Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, governor of the northern region (Arar), and discussed with the prince the affairs of transporting Iraqi pilgrims by land and facilitating their passage to the holy lands through the joint Arar border crossing with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

Al-Masoudi praised the great efforts made by the Saudi authorities in facilitating the affairs of grouping pilgrims and overcoming all obstacles to deliver them in comfort and safety.

For his part, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz expressed his happiness with the return of the pilgrims’ convoys through the Saudi Arar port, after a two-year hiatus due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, expressing his absolute cooperation in providing the services that the brothers of Iraqi pilgrims deserve since their entry into the Kingdom’s lands until their arrival in the Kingdom and their place of residence in Medina in peace.”/ End
