The Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, confirmed today, Friday, that work is under way on the visit of his country's President, Ibrahim Raisi, to Syria "in the near future."
This came during a press conference held by the Iranian Foreign Minister at the Iranian Embassy in Beirut.
Abdullahian said that his country welcomes the strengthening of relations between Syria, the Arab world and the countries of the region.
In this regard, he added: "The current circumstances have proven that betting on the collapse of the Syrian government is doomed to failure, and that the Zionist lobby was behind it."
He continued, "The military advisors of the Islamic Republic helped Syria confront the terrorist war," stressing that "President Assad, the government, the army, and the people stood against the terrorist war and won in the end."
